Traditional Tibetan Medicine has been practiced in Himalayan countries
for over 1000 years and is now available at Tara Trust in Edinburgh, Kagyu Samye Dzong London and at the Samye Ling Tibetan Centre
in Dumfriesshire. Tibetan Medicine is a fully holistic system, highly
esteemed throughout Asia for its subtle and accurate diagnoses and effective
treatment. It focuses on treating the root cause of symptoms unique to
each person and seeks to restore a healthy balance to body and mind.
Lobsang Dhonden Soktsang
Lobsang Dhonden Soktsang was born into a family of renowned doctors in Eastern Tibet and is exceptionally well trained in Tibetan Medicine. His training began in childhood and he holds higher degrees from Tibet and India. He practiced in Asia for 20 years and in the UK since 2001. He is a founder member of the British Association of Traditional Tibetan Medicine. His main clinic is in Edinburgh where he lives with his wife and two children.
